Btw, the one-line summaries (the usefulness of which I still doubt) could be fit in the table on separate lines, like in Wikipedia TV series episode lists, see Wikipedia:List of Mad Men episodes for example. --Vladimir Nesov 02:44, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
I think Karma and Summary columns should be removed. Also, Date seems like a task for a robot, and so keeping it present before a robot does its thing is also redundant. --Vladimir Nesov 19:27, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree that filling in the date column is a job for a robot, and that it's pointless to have an empty date column until the robot is set up. But why do you believe that the Karma and Summary columns should be removed? I think the karma column is useful, because it lets users sort the posts by karma. Though we would want this data to also be updated by a bot, in case a post's karma changes after the post was initially added to the table. I also think the summary column could be useful, though filling it in might be more work than it's worth. --PeerInfinity 19:47, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- You basically agree that for now all of these columns are useless. Having one-line summaries in the all-posts page threatens to make it too unwieldy, so I suspect it will have a disastrous effect from the design standpoint.
- The purpose of this list is not to enumerate the posts from the blog (that is done by the site itself, and could be improved, including list by Karma etc). This list allows to manually edit the list of associated concepts, a task naturally done on the wiki, that can't be handled by the blog software. For the same reason, the Date may unnecessary even if the script to extract it was trivially available. --Vladimir Nesov 21:05, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
