Michael Bishop is, among other things, a PhD student in sociology. His research interests include, among other things, forecasting, decision-making, education, norms, culture, identity, attraction and relationships, housing cooperatives, wikipedia, networks, organizations, evolution, public policy, causal inference and formal models. Some people argue he should narrow it down a bit.

He is blogging for the mathematical sociology section of the ASA.
