Template talk:Lesswrongtag

Peer, I think it's not a good idea. The wiki articles are here precisely to make sense of the concepts in the posts, to organize them intelligently and refine this organization over time, as opposed to the immutable links or tags that appear in the articles at the time of their writing. The state of the tags on LessWrong is horrible, using them directly and extensively doesn't allow gradual improvement. Instead, the new posts of note should be included in the wiki manually, to the appropriate concept articles, and introducing new connections between the concepts, on the case-to-case basis for each post. --Vladimir Nesov 17:32, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I agree that a manually updated list of the most relevant articles is better than just a link to all articles with that particular tag. However, if we don't have such a list yet for some of the wikipages, is using this template better or worse than nothing? Also, does it do any harm to leave this template at the end of the list of references, even if we already have a good manually created list? --PeerInfinity 17:48, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I would ;-) What's the point of those? If they are useful concepts, the tag link template should go to the corresponding concept article stubs, and if they are not, I don't see any use for the individual articles corresponding to the tags.
